2024 is comming to an end, and it is now that the pace has slowed down that we have the opportunity to reflect on all that has happened. It has been an intense year for Space Production with large and small projects, as well as the fact that we have acquired Dohrns Exhibitions & Events in Stockholm. We have thus gained a broader perspective on the industry, and have been able to deliver solutions in a smarter and more cost-effective way - something that our customers have really appreciated.
At the same time, I have seen an interesting change in what our customers are asking for. There is a clear trend: the simpler and faster solutions are no longer as sought after. Instead, we notice that more exhibitors are looking for stands that not only fulfill a practical purpose, but also tell a story and create a feeling - it should stand out. It's a shift that I think feels absolutely right. It is the projects where design and concept go hand in hand that are the most rewarding to work with. This places higher demands on those of us who work with design and production, especially from a sustainability perspective, but I think this is exactly where it gets the most exciting.
2024 has also been a year in which we continued to strengthen our international presence. We have had the pleasure of once again working with several large projects in Germany, but also in other countries around Europe and the world. It is fantastic to be able to operate in such different markets and see how our solutions are received on a global level. Working on this width gives us both inspiration and challenges.
When I look ahead to 2025, I hope that we dare to continue challenging both ourselves and our customers. It's easy to want to cling to old ways of working, but I think it's in change that we find the best ideas. Whether it's about adapting the design to a new reality, using new technical tools or just daring to think differently - that's where we as an industry can really develop.
But right now, it's nice to pause, recharge and gather your thoughts for the new year. Thank you to all colleagues, customers and partners who have been involved in making 2024 such an educational and developing year. I look forward to everything we will create together next year.
