Interview with Ulrika Björn

Something we at Space Production are very proud of is our production of fine carpentry. We produce everything from walls, podiums, benches and decor. Creating a finished product requires many steps. The first step happens in the office of our technical designers.

Ulrika Björn has worked at Space since 2001. She started as a carpenter in production, and is one of those who handled our CNC milling machines. A year ago she took the step to the office and is now a technical designer and creates drawings for the cerpentry. With extensive experience in fine carpentry and how we work, she quickly became an important member of the design team.

Common to all our projects is that it has to be right immediately. Events, fairs and inaugurations cannot be postponed. By having experienced designers, production runs smoothly. There are many challenging aspects, such as material selection, technical challenges and surface layers.

Experience and good cooperation between designers and carpenters mean that adjustments can be made quickly. Today, Ulrika is updating a podium that will be produced for an event later this spring. Although we have produced many different types of podiums in the past, all products require a careful eye.

Here we can see some pictures from the production of two fun lecterns.
